Logo Design
The CEO of Blue Plate was preparing for the upcoming launch of Larkin Hall as a venue space. My responsibility as the graphic designer was to develop a fresh and innovative logo for Larkin Hall, drawing inspiration from the eight-year-old logo draft. To inform my designs, I conducted extensive research on logos used by competitors in the venue industry. Additionally, I explored the current Larkin Hall environment to capture insights regarding color schemes and ambiance to base my designs off of.
I created two logo concepts as options to show the Senior Leadership Team; both included a full logo as well as a logomark. Both logos played on the concept of the building having an angle to its roof, with the angle shown within the typography as well as the sketch of the building.
Ultimately, the project was temporarily halted due to construction delays. Nonetheless, the initial concepts I presented were well-received by the Senior Leadership Team, signifying a promising start to my creative process.
